Volunteer Opportunities at Easthampton Farmers’ Market

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! As a non-profit, market volunteers are essential to our success. This is not an exhaustive list, just some ideas to get you started.

  • Market Assistance

    We need volunteers to help us set up and break down market infrastructure like tables and tents, assist vendors, count shoppers, help people carry things, run SNAP and HIP transactions, and greet market customers/answer questions. This can be flexible based on your availability.

    We generally can use help any time between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM.  

  • Programming Assistant

    Do you like planning events? We are open to ideas and would love to add fun programming back into our schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone who’d like to gain event planning experience.

  • Fundraising (Ongoing)

    Help us raise funds so we can continue our essential work providing food access to those in our community who need it most. We are seeking folks who have experience or an interest in gaining experience in fundraising to assist with fundraising throughout the year. This helps support our operational expenses and SNAP Match program.

  • Social Media Assistant

    Are you a creative individual looking to gain experience taking photos, editing videos, and have a bit of fun with it? We’re looking for someone interested in taking photos and videos at the market, learning more about our vendors’ stories, etc. If you’re well-versed in the different social media platforms, and want to gain some experience managing social media advertising, let us know. You’ll be working alongside our Market Manager in coming up with fun ideas and creating weekly posts.   

  • Kids’ Table

    Do you LOVE crafts, story time, and kids? Each week, we see many children come through the market, and would love to have a weekly activity table for them to look forward to! We’re thinking things like: Scavenger hunts, Rock Painting, Farm or Nature-Based Story Time - We are open to ideas! 

    This position can be flexible - If you’re not available every Sunday, that’s OK!

Don’t have time to volunteer? There are other ways you can help! 

Donate 

Donations will be used to continue our SNAP Match Program, Purchase Supplies for our Kids’ Craft Table, Planning Events, and Other Operational Needs of the market.  Even small donations help tremendously to keep the market thriving and vibrant.

Put a Market Sign in Your Yard

Do you live on a busy street? Would you be willing to put up one sign on your lawn? Many people traveling through Easthampton during the week are unaware that there is a Farmers’ Market on Sundays. Let us know if you would like a sign! (Please provide address, phone, and email so we can arrange for drop off and pick up of the sign, or stop by the market manager table to arrange.)

Do you have any particular skills or interests that you think would be helpful?  Let us know!  Things like Language Skills, Grant Writing, Graphic Design, Web Design, etc. If you have an idea and want to help in a different way that isn’t listed above, we’re all ears! (yes, that’s a corny joke)
